After successfully completing my education as an industrial clerk in 1985, I was already able to gain my first important professional experience in my parents' sawmill at this time.

In addition to various commercial activities, I was already involved in  technical tasks during this time, such as technical purchasing or the  coordination of repairs and maintenance. After completing my basic military service at the beginning of 1989, I  successfully completed further training in Bad Wildungen to become a  technical businessman specialiced in the timber industry.
This training is somewhat comparable to a master craftsman training in the commercial-technical field. During my basic military service in the air  force, I also completed a correspondence course to become a programmer.

From 1990 to 2010, I successfully held several positions in sales and  sales management. Initially in field sales, but soon also in sales  management and upper management. My Stations included the company Norske Skog, Meisterwerke in Rüthen and  Alloc AS in Lyngdal, Norway (Berrygroup). In addition to my existing English language skills, I was also able to  learn Norwegian during this time.

In 2010, I decided moreless spontaneously to take over my father's  business, as my father was no longer able to continue running it for health reasons.
After more than 12 years as owner and managing  director, I was able to successfully sell the business in 2022 after  there was no prospect of a succession within the family.
At the beginning of 2023, I then trained as a management consultant  (IHK) in order to use my experiences as a consultant in the future.
